When we were studying maths in school, we thought 'when are we ever going to need this in real life?' It turns out we did end up needing to know some stuff, like 1 + 1 = 2, and that numbers with tuff sounding adjectives in front of them make for cool band names. (It turns out English came in handy too!) We were right about the other stuff, though. We haven't used long division since ill-fitting uniforms clad our uncomfortably pubescent bods.
